Junior Coaching

The Junior members at St. Melyd are well looked after and an extensive programme of coaching, both professional and by members of the Club takes place throughout the season.

Competitions are also held from May to September on Tuesday evenings (daytime during the school holidays) for both White and Blue Tee Juniors.

Fun day introduces girls to golf

St Melyd Golf Club played host to a Beginners Fun Day for junior girls organised by the Denbighshire and Flintshire Ladies’ County Golf Association.

Twenty five girls from as young as six enjoyed putting, chipping and playing some short holes to introduce them to golf while having a fun day in glorious sunshine during the school holidays.

These girls are currently attending Golf Foundation lessons either at Rhuddlan on Fridays at 5:30pm or at Northop on Sundays at 11am.
