The Ladies Section

We are being urged constantly to take more exercise, preferably in the fresh air. What better way than to play a round of golf? Where better to play it than on St. Melyd’s immaculately kept nine-hole course?

Set at the foot of Bishop’s Wood with views over the sea to the great Orme and across the mountains, where on a clear day one can see Snowdon – a veritable jewel on the hillside.

Golf is a challenging and absorbing pastime, where any cares one may have can be completely abandoned.

Golf appeals to a wide age range – youngsters are encouraged and receive free tuition and several members are still playing in their eighties!

Maybe you feel that you have no one to play with – no problem at St. Melyd. Initially the Lady Captain will have arranged for a lady member to accompany you round the course.

It will be explained how to acquire a handicap. That having been done just put your name down on the Competition sheet and someone will add their name to yours.

In no time at all you will have acquired a circle of true friends in an atmosphere of convivial camaraderie.

Not only is (the game of) golf available at St. Melyd, there is an active social side. Several “Get togethers” are organized, dinner-dances and feature evenings can be enjoyed.

The “inner man” is not forgotten! Delicious meals are served in an attractive restaurant over-looking the course.

So why not keep fit in mind and body by joining St. Melyd Golf Club?
